BBQ Calamari in Pingshi
This is probably my favorite "street vendor" food in Taiwan. They take fresh, locally caught calamari, spread BBQ sauce on it and grill it over charcoal. Depending on the vendor, the sauce could be spicy, mild or sweet.

Bento Box - Chicken
The Bento Box is a Taiwanese invention, designed specifically as a lunch item and originally made for railroad workers who didn't have time to travel far or make a lunch for themselves. All entres and sides differ depending on the restaurant served.

Rice with shrimp burger from Mos Burger
Sauted shrimp burger with rice patty "buns" and a side of "wedge" fries. Probably my favorite fast food item in Taiwan!

Homemade Spaghetti
Spaghetti is actually a local favorite, but they don't always add meat or use actual Spaghetti noodles, so I usually make it myself. Ground pork is readily available, so I usually use it to make the meatballs.
