Darryl's Latest Project

How do you like my latest project. Actually it is very old. I just spent the weekend refurbishing it and rebuilding its gear system so it works. It used to be a display for timex watches back in a woolworth that went out of business back in the mid 70's. I have had it for many years now and have been meaning to do something with it, well so far it is operational. Now I just got to get the light to work and replace the 4" high banner that says timex and replace it with a sintra one that says astromech, and then maybe add a dome on top. It happens to be 18" in diameter. I also thought of adding legs as well but it would be very heavy an nowhere to mount them.. Half the fun was opening all the different r2-d2's I have. I think I am only missing 3 versions of him. Then I filled in the bottom with all my other astro mechs. I didn't realize how many there were and I still have to add r2-m9 and r2-b1.
