Two 12x36" home A/C filters are duct taped to back of ALU 24x36" grill from ACE hardware. Brackets bolted to sides of box keep filter from falling forward. Brackets and duct tape prevent it from moving backward at the bottom. Bracket on left

Stanley blower from walmart is bolted to rear of paint booth as exhaust fan. 6"x8' ALU duct from ACE is bolted to fan, then connected to floor Nederman filter (solder station filter - HP surplus) with round 6" drain "L" from Homedepot

This is a surplus medical air compressor - nice regulator and pressure gauge, fine for airbrushing.

Airbrush1

Badger 150, dual action bottom feed airbrush kit. For my test piece, I found the metal cup a little easier to use than a glass bottle with siphon.

Primer1

This Krylon white primer seems to work well. I first cleaned the bare ALU piece with Prep-All from Autozone and a polishing rag. First time using the primer spray I got drips and runs. Then decanted some of the primer in an airbrush bottle and airbrush

The Pavo Purple, Silver and Gold were at Walmart. Had to order the Oriental Blue from LT Plastic Model World, also ordered a spraycan of the Kustom Kolor Clear Coat which I haven't tried yet.

Test piece. Couple of flaws visible. I have done 2000 grit light sanding after priming, after pavo purple basecoat, and now. This was my second pass of Oriental Blue, and got it too wet and got splatters when I ran out of blue in the paint cup :( I tr
